I have three daughters and they know ALL about American Girls! My oldest has really gotten into reading the books, and the other two just enjoy playing with the dolls…until we got the new movie! We have watched it at least once a day since we received it! My kids LOVE it! McKenna is a typical American girl who struggles with balancing friendships, school, and gymnastics. She is an incredibly talented gymnast, but has to learn how to shift things around when she gets injured during practice. She learns tons about friendship and even more about the things that important. She overcomes more then one obstacle.
This movie was so clean and relevent. I loved that my 7 yr old wanted to watch it again and again. We actually got to throw an American Girl party and invite some friends over to enjoy the party with us! As you can see from the pictures…we really did “shoot for the stars!” The kids all had SO much fun and one little girl even brought her cast that she got from her gma for her doll, when she broke her own foot! It all fit the theme so well…especially since she did not know what the movie was about! If you have a birthday party to plan for…go buy all of the fun STAR (4th of July) stuff NOW and it’s perfect for this party!
