What is your Chicken Price Point?

I like to get things at rock bottom prices and search high and low to do just that! This is normally fairly easy for household consumables and kids clothes…but produce and meat are not always that easy.

I have bought Zaycon in the past and got great deals on my meat there…but they only come a few times a year and I don’t have a deep freezer to store large quantities. So I am always watching for deals…local ones. This week was a BINGO week for my family! I am still recovering, so I am not out shopping yet, but my hubby was gracious enough to jump on board (since no coupons were needed!) and go get chicken breasts at Market Street for just $1.47/lb! This are boneless/skinless and ready to go! He bought $50 worth and it filled our freezer! We eat a ton of chicken and that is such a GREAT price! (Ends on 8/28!)

What is your price point for chicken breasts? Do you always get it at the same place, or do you shop around? I am hoping that the $50 worth that we have will last until the next great sale. (Usually about 6 week cycle!)

Now onto produce…I’ve just been shopping the ads and buying where the best deals are or picking up fruits and veggies at Aldi. I tried Bountiful Baskets but in Texas it gets hot so early that they moved pick up times to 6:30 AM and I am NOT a morning person!

All American Fun: A Night at the Rangers Game

Kroger recently invited my family to come enjoy a night in the Ballpark with the Texas Rangers! My hubby is a HUGE baseball fan and couldn’t wait to go! We were so excited to go as this event was along side a few other awesome Texas Bloggers and I love to catch up with blogging friends! We were given a $25 giftcard to enjoy some treats while we were there and of course, icecream was at the top of our list, on this HOT evening! (I got the Krazy Cookie Dough…and it was a rainbow of a yummy treat!)

Our seats were great and not far from the left field line. There were several pop flys and/or foul balls that came our way. It was very exciting!

Kroger has several great deals going on right now, and the new ad starts tomorrow. Did you know that Kroger has a clearance section? I go straight to that section every time to see what bargains that I can find! Usually dented cans go there…and you can use coupons on top of the clearance prices!!! My oldest always makes a dash to the bakery sale items to look for blueberry bagels…and usually finds some! I’ll be highlighting the upcoming sales when I get my mail today.

Anyways…off to Kroger to fill up on gas and use my rewards! (You can get upto 4X’s the rewards right now…check it out!)
