I have been a huge fan of LeapFrog for years! I love that they are relevant to both kids and parents! Kids love the fun games and often don’t realize that they are extremely educational.
My first love for Leapfrog came when my girls were small and we bought them the fun alphabet fridge magnets. They played and played with those things and we loved that they were learning fun catchy songs that helped them learn! They had several of the Leappals and loved those as well! Once they were 3, we bought them the DVD’s. Those songs are so catchy and we all sang them for years!
At four we invested in Leap Readers. My girls loved being able to “read” books by themselves. As they moved into school age, they were excited to show me how they no longer needed the pen to read! It was so exciting! This is about the time we started them on the math DVD’s. They loved those too!
Fast forward to 1st grade…they begged for the Leappad! Being smart parents, we knew it was a great investment! We weren’t ready to hand them an ipad and give them access to the world and the Leappad would soon become their training wheels for the future. They fell in love with the Leappad. We had several games for it!
The next year, Leapfrog came out with a new version and they (of course) wanted it. The new one allowed them to download games via wifi and it had a camera. They love making videos so they were very excited about that.
And that brings us to today… Leapfrog now as the LeapPad Platinum with uses Imagicards. We were sent one to play with and I am having to set timers because they don’t want to share it!!
The LeapPad Platinum is awesome and encourages the kids to get interactive. They aren’t just staring at screens! They are learning, playing games, and searching and snapping photos of the Imagicards! They LOVE it!
