My hubby and have I tried to change things up for date night these past few months and do things that we have never done before. I was treated with tickets, meal for two and drinks all while enjoying great laughs with my hubby. Who could ask for more?
Last night we went to enjoy David Alan Grier at Improv in Addison. He was SOOO STINKING FUNNY! We laughed and laughed. I had not been there before and didn’t know what to expect, besides some great laughs! (There are two locations in the DFW area!)
We got our tickets at the ticket window (right outside) which was super easy. I love that you don’t have to print something at home and remember to bring it! We walked into the Improv area and were quickly seated. Our waiter was very quick to come take our orders! I had a hard time deciding on what to eat as there were so many great things to choose from. I ended up getting a salad that was topped with pears, almonds and a yummy vinaigrette dressing. My hubby ordered the smoked salmon. Our food came out rather quickly as did our drinks. We enjoyed most of our food before the show started, which was great because they drop the lights when the show starts. The food was delish! The only thing that wasn’t on the menu that I would loved to see was chocolate fondue! 🙂
The place was packed out to hear David Alan Grier, as he is a very well known comedian. I wish I could have recorded him and played a snippet for you but they ask that no photos or videos be taken. I did, however, get a picture of my hubby and I before they made that announcement and I am thankful to add it to my “summer fun” photo album!
There were NO kids there, as expected! I loved that we got there around 6:45PM and were done by 8:30PM. This made for a PERFECT date night! We weren’t out too late, yet we had a fun evening enjoying belly laughs!
They have a great line up and you can easily book your fun night online! Check out the Addison Improv site for more info! You can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter as well!
I will definitely be taking my hubby back!
Although my evening of fun was at the expense of Improv, all opinions are my own and are honest.

I’ve heard of Improv but haven’t been. May have to try that one of these days with the Hubby.
How fun! I’ve never been to the Improv before, and I look forward to trying it out!
Looks like you guys had a great time. Excellent date night idea. I love a good laugh.
Glad you had fun on your date! We are also trying to do new things on our dates which makes date nights that much sweeter. Love hearing what other people are doing on their date nights!
So fun! Great review!
we have to go some time!
Looks like so much fun…we are going on Saturday. I’m excited about doing something a little outside of the box (our standard date night is just dinner out).
