My family loves Disney movies and could not wait to watch Aladdin in live action with Will Smith starring as Genie when we heard it was hitting the theaters! We have really enjoyed watching how Disney has brought to life each of their classics these past few years this one did not disappoint! Will is super energetic and we knew seeing him in that role would be fun and because it’s such a big, fun character, we were confident that it would be fitting. Check out this clip:
Aladdin 2019 | On Digital 8/27 & 9/10
My youngest kiddo had never seen the original movie, so this was really fun for him to see. He followed a long just fine thanks to Genie and his fun personality and catchy songs! I loved watching the classic scenes and even the additional pieces that were introduced in this movie. I could easily see this one come to life as a Broadway show. (I just saw this performed at DSM a month or so ago…and this movie wasn’t far from the production…minus a few fireworks!)
If you are looking for a family fun night, buy this movie and enjoy the classic tale of love…rags to riches… integrity… and the struggle for power. It has so many life lessons that are great for teaching kids and helping them see what is really important about life. I love watching two worlds meet and the tale is perfect…even in todays complicated world!
