Three Things to Do After You Buy a New Car

If you are like me, one of the first things you want to do after buying a new car is to “set the rules” with the kids. You know what I am talking about… no food or drinks in the car, don’t leave your stuff behind, and and stuff like that. That is not the topic of this post, although it could easily be one of the first things I would do after buying a new car! (Can I get an amen?)

When buying your new vehicle, if you have bought from a place like Cerritos Dodge then you might have gotten a Factory Warranty with your new vehicle. This comes with roadside assistance! You will want to program that phone number in your cell phone right away! There is nothing more frustrating than needing help on the side of the road and not having that number handly. Or, not knowing that your vehicle has roadside assistance as part of the warranty and paying for a separate independent company to come help you. I always look over these things and try to stay one step ahead, just in case.

Next, you will want to download the Mopar app to help you keep you with your vehicle’s maintenance schedule. This app will also alert you if there are recalls as well! It works with your vehicle specifically because you put in your VIN number.  (I love that this app allow has roadside assistance built into it!)

Last, I would check and see if you can pair your phone to your new vehicle. Most new rides now allow for hands free. I love this feature and feel it’s very important to set up immediately. Driving hands free can save lives. There are so many things to learn on a new vehicle and if you have a hard time with one, it’s something that your salesman can help you set up before you ever leave the lot. I highly recommend doing this right on the spot!
