Disney Pixar’s Coco is coming to Blu-ray on Feb. 27th! My girls enjoyed this movie a lot. The music… the quest for more music was a big theme in this movie. We loved watching the aspiring musician, Miguel, seek to learn more about his family. He did not want to settle for what everyone else thought he should do, instead, he was shooting to become the best that HE could be at something that he loved. On his journey to learn more, he discovers that family is so important and learns some truths that even his parents do not know about their family.

You can grab Coco on Amazon starting on Feb. 27th! You can watch now on Amazon Video for $19.99!

My great grandmother Maeomie or Grannie Mae as everyone called her, passed away 4 months ago at the age of 96. She has always been the most beautiful soul I have known on the Earth. My daughter who is now 4.5 years old has the middle name Mae after this sweet woman. One of her favorite things to do when she was in good health and still living at her home instead of the nursing home was to throw pecans out in the yard and sit on the porch and watch the squirrels run around and collect/eat them. She would spend hours just watching those critters! The other day my daughter came home from daycare with a pecan in her pocket. It was too funny- I shared with her Grannie Mae’s love of collecting pecans and why and we plan on enjoying this same activity any time we can! Thank you for the opportunity to remember yet again how sweet and missed this beautiful woman was and is!

Awe! 96! She lived a long life! Love that you gave your daughter her middle name! Love the pecan memory! 🙂

  2. My grandpa was the most important person to me in my life and we lost him way to soon. I keep his memory alive by singing some of the songs he sang to me to my girls. Also, by reading to them and teaching them table manners which he was very good on. This summer I look forward to our trip to Germany where he took me on my first overseas trip when I was 9. I’m looking forward to my girls seeing a different culture and the beautiful castles in Europe!

My Abuelita passed away 2 months after our child was born. I miss her so much, she and my Papo (grandfather) were the guiding forces in me and my sibling lives. She was a firecracker, a strong and beautiful woman. She will always have a giant piece of my heart. I am so grateful that she got to meet my son. I try to honor her memory by sharing stories about her or ones she told me as a child. I truly believe those we live never really leave us.

My Uncle passed away last Valentines Day. He meant alot to me. He helped raise me when my father passed away when I was a young child. I keep his memory alive by helping run the business that he found with my father. Thanks for the giveaway. I hope that I win.

  7. My godmother passed away when I was a teen. She was a very sweet lady who always brought back gifts for me when she traveled and never overlooked a birthday or Christmas. Her last gift to me was a snow globe so I started a snow globe collection in her honor.

  8. This is a LONG list…. so many loved ones loved and lost.! Dee Dee and Gran Gran, Vondel Witt, Granaw, Grandmas and Grandpa Falk, Nanny, Aunt Cokie…. so many WONDERFUL people that have changed, inspired, taught and LOVED me SO deeply! Missed but NEVER forgotten!

My Meme died 11 years ago in April. I have so many great memories of her. She loved us all so much. She and my grandpa had a love that all could model themselves after. My Meme loved Cardinals, so every time I see one, it reminds me of her.

  10. My Mother in Law would have been 65 today. She died 8 years ago. She wanted grandchildren more than anything in the world. So on her birthday we try to focus on doing things together as a family. She loved baking so there is banana bread (her recipe) baking in the oven right now!!

  11. My 10 year old niece Keira died in May and we keep her spirit alive by spreading Kindess in her name. We always leave them a card with her story and picture on it along with our kindness act. It is a special way for us to keep her spirit alive especially for my 5 year old son as I never want him to forget her.
