Spreading Pampers Cheer

I’m sitting here in tears typing this out. Completely, utterly, humbled. Today I had the honor of shopping for a family for Christmas. This family lives across town and is hurting this holiday season. A mutual friend shared with me how the dad lost his job and the mom stays home with their three young kiddos. They are having a hard time making ends meet. They have three kids, ages 1, 3, and 5 that have no clue what is going on. My heart sank thinking of how they are struggling.

Pampers is a brand that I love for many reasons. One of the main reasons that I love them so much is that they genuinely care. They are ALL about baby and helping families. I have partnered with them a few times in the past to help families and babies in need. This time it felt different. As a Pampers Baby Board member I was offered a grant to pay it forward. It is one of the most humbling feelings to get to bless the socks off of an unsuspecting family. The family that I chose didn’t ask for #PampersCheer, Pampers just gave it! I loved every minute of shopping for these sweet kids, and thinking about how their faces would light up when they open the gifts!

My shopping haul included all you see above!

After making the purchase, I came home and wrapped it all up, and labeled it with each family members name. Tonight, my friend Stef and I took it over, unloaded it on her porch and rang the doorbell. She opened the door and embraced us with tears, grateful tears. Her Christmas has a much different outlook now thanks to Pampers!

I am planning to do lots of random #PampersCheer spreading over the next two weeks! I will do Instagram Lives of my fun as it unfolds so make sure you are following me over there —> instagram.com/courtneysolstad and look for posts on Facebook under #PampersCheer as well. I hope it will encourage and inspire you to spread #PampersCheer as well!

A few ideas include:

  • Paying for the person behind you in line…you never know when a tired mama REALLY needs that coffee.
  • Asking your friends on social media if they know someone who needs diapers…then hop over on Amazon and send them a box, anonymously with #PampersCheer in the notes
  • Send dinner to a new mom via Uber Eats
  • Give a giftcard to a mom in line at the grocery store
  • Paying for a babysitter so a stressed out mom and take a nap or run errands, kid free.
