Each winter I try to stay a head of the game and fully restock my medicine cabinet! There is nothing worse then needing something and not having it. I always look at dates and clear out what is expired or at the bottom of the bottle. I use the following list to restock. (I print it and take an inventory, then purchase what I don’t have plenty of!)

.) Pain meds – for both adults and liquid for kids
.) Cough meds – syrup, couch drops, and cough suckers for the little guy.
.) Allergy meds – Pills for adults, liquid for kids
.) Vitamin C – chewables for the kids
.) Proxide
.) Bandaids
.) Antibiotic Ointment
.) Monistat
.) Eye Drops
.) Saline Nose Spray

I have found that if I have those 10 items in my cabinet ready to go, I am covered for most everything that could pop up over the winter months. Here is a little more info on some of the items I buy. For pain meds, and Vitamin C, I buy in bulk at Costco. These things just make sense to have in larger quantities. Cough meds are a little tougher as my kids have flavors that they do and do not like. The suckers are new on the market and I love that it feels safer for my little guy then an actual cough drop. Bandaids are normally a stocking stuffer. The kids all get “fun” ones! Monistat is one of those things that you hope you don’t need, but are so thankful to have on hand incase you DO need it.
