Resort Style Staycation at Hilton Anatole JadeWaters

You do NOT have to leave Dallas to feel like you are at a resort! I just got back off of a family fun staycation where my family was hosted at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. They opened Jade Waters last summer but have amp’d it up this season with tons of activities for kids (and families!)! All opinions in this post are mine and are honest!

As I laid by the pool yesterday, I thought about how much families pay to fly to resorts and how I wish they knew about the Anatole and all that they have to offer! It could save SO MUCH MONEY!

I wanted to give you a window in the fun weekend we had incase you are planning a Dallas Staycation or are looking to escape the everyday hustle, bustle and rest by a beautiful pool!

We arrived Friday night and checked into the hotel! Valet is available! Our room(s) were ready and waiting for us! We felt expected! We had a crib in our room for our little guy and the connecting room was ready with two beds for our girls! We love the connecting rooms and how we feel like we are “together” but then we can shut a door if the girls want to stay up later and watch tv! (The best of both worlds!)

We ate dinner at Media Grill + Bar. Kids eat free there! My kids all found something they wanted and I ordered maybe one of the best turkey burgers I’ve had in a while, and hubby had the salmon. The food came out quickly and the atmosphere was welcoming and family friendly.

We checked out the events for the following morning and retired to our room for the evening… we were wiped out from a busy week!

Saturday morning started off with breakfast in bed (for me!) while the kids and hubby ate downstairs at Counter Offer and at Damsels, Dragons & Donuts in Geppetto’s Theater! This was a very fun interactive puppet show! It was fun to show up, enjoy milk and donuts before the show started! My kids LOVED this performance. I did a Facebook live of it, if you want to check it out! We loved the fun songs and couldn’t help but sing a long to a few of them! I highly recommend doing this! (You don’t have to stay at the hotel to do this…you can park and pay the walk in fee if you would rather!)

Then the kids knew that the rest of the day would be outside! We suited up in our swimsuits, grabbed the sunblock and headed out for a day of water fun! We grabbed a few seats at Jade Waters and lathered up before heading in to relax in the lazy river! I could have spent my WHOLE day in that river!

We played with our little guy in the toddler area for a while. He loved the slides and could have stayed there all day!

Guess where we are hanging today? Nathan won’t stop! #JadeWaters #summerattheanatole #SeeDallasStayAnatole #hosted

He loved splashing around!

The older kids took off to the big slides! It was not overly crowded!

After a few hours, they were ready for lunch! We grabbed a few tables in the shade and ordered pool side from one of the many servers who checked in on us! The kids ordered what they wanted, and hubby and I were able to score some yummy salads! We were able to order adult drinks as well! I enjoyed a Skinny Colada! It was so delicious…pineapple chunks and all!

There were several games that the girls participated in and they loved winning coins and jewels! They were collecting because they found a few fun items at the Kids Concierge that they could cash in for! I loved that they felt comfortable chatting with the staff there and knew that this was their go to place for snacks or prizes! They asked questions there and loved chatting with the staff!

There was a huge list of activities for the kids and we did as many as they wanted to do! We left the pool around 4 so that we could change and get ready for dinner! After an early (yummy) dinner, we went back outside to do crafts!

And how could someone pass up playing Family Bingo? We couldn’t! We won a few times and the girls loved getting prizes!

Last, we moved over to grass area and played games while waiting for the movie to start! We played connect four, corn hole…

and even caught a beautiful sunset!

Last, we ended the night with a movie on the lawn!

Sunday we spent more time by the pool, before checking out and heading home! Here are a few picts I took on Sunday! We can not express our love for this place enough! If you are looking for a fun “staycation” then look no further…this is the place for you!

On the way home the van got really quiet…I looked back and ALL of the kiddos were sleeping! It was the perfect end to a fun get away! My hubby thanked me for making it happen and said it’s his favorite vacation (staycation!)
