About this fun 5K:
- The Corner Store Country Run is a family-friendly! (This means bring your strollers!)
- This is the first year for the Corner Store Country Run, an inaugural signature charity event introduced by San Antonio-based convenience chain Corner Store.
- All net proceeds from the run will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters along with local children’s charities in the Dallas area.
- The race will be farm-themed, with hay bales, corn stalks and giant inflatable cows and pigs. Participants are encouraged to dress the part in overalls, cowboy hats and over-the-top country attire.
- You will get a T-shirt, finisher blue ribbon and entry into a post-run country fair with carnival games, face painting, balloon twisting, a photo booth, live music, food, a beer garden and tons of sponsor giveaways. Best part? Once you are inside the fair, everything is free. How cool is that? You get to run and then stay and play… no need to pack a lunch or pay for carnival games for your kiddos! It’s perfect! No need to bring cash, all you need is ID if you plan to consume an adult beverage.
