*My family enjoyed a fun day in the park as means to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own and are honest.
We enjoy going to Hawaiian Falls each summer! I love that it is extremely family friendly and I never have to worry about the music they play over head or other various inappropriate things that could be associated with water parks.
We were treated to a nice cabana by the wave pool, as well as a locker to hold all vaulibles. I love having the cabana as it affords us a place to spread out and relax, in the shade. Along with a cabana, you get a Cabana attendant that comes and takes your drink/food order…then delivers! It’s awesome, especially when you have little ones that you can’t leave unattended and you don’t have the hands to carry everything yourself!
We also had a cooler pass, which allowed us to bring in the things that we wanted to eat/drink while there. I packed myself yogurt, bottled water, and raw veggies with hummus. My kids were content ordering pizza and pretzels as well as Mini Melts (like Dippin Dots) and Churros. I also appreciated that Hawaiian Falls has Poweraid. I prefer getting non caffeinated drinks for my kids when possible! Keeping them dehydrated when they are playing in the HOT Texas sun is always a priority for me.
My 9 yr old loves going to Hawaiian Falls and going down the slides. She is a bit of a date devil and is always up for a challenge. I don’t think that there is one single ride there that she hasn’t ridden and loved. I love the mountains of stairs that she gets to climb…build in workout and she didn’t even know it!
My 7 yr old really enjoys rides that she can do WITH me. She was very content riding the two man rides and just playing with her (younger) sister in the kids area. She also really enjoys the lazy river. She is such a fish that if I am not careful watching, she will be half way around the lazy river before I know it! So much fun!
My 5 yr old is just starting to feel confident in the water. She took swimming lessons this year and I trust her in the water without a flotation device now. She really enjoyed playing on the giant pirate ship! I love that I can let her roam around it with confidence. She isn’t afraid of any of the slides on it and does a great job helping other kiddos up the stairs and such. It’s perfect for her or any other preschool aged child. We found that the lazy river was a tiny bit too deep for her to touch bottom and so she enjoyed floating around in a ring relaxing with me.
If you are looking for a day of family fun, consider Hawaiian Falls. There are 7 locations around Dallas and there are always deals for tickets. Currently they have an Instagram promo going on! Don’t miss out! (Look for the signs inside the park with more info on this!)
