Just like years past, my family really look forward to AdventureCon at Seaworld. This is a conference that Seaworld puts together for Texas bloggers. They always do a great job organizing speakers who have relevant and enriching content for us. They go the extra mile to provide opportunities for our families to come and enjoy time in the park as well as learning more about sea life thru their animal interaction programs.

This was was even better then I had imagined. The speakers spoke with great clarity and I enjoyed learning lots about Pinterst, Flipboard, Google +, Media outreach and story telling. After hearing about being unique in our story telling, I decided to let my girls have the waterproof camera to capture a day in Seaworld San Antonio and Aquatica from the eyes of babes.

They are little fish and spent a great deal of time in the new Roa’s Aviary in Aquatica. Here is a few thoughts that they wanted to share:

I thought the lazy river was cool and perfect for little kids as the water is not too deep. It was fun as they have tiki faces that squirt water as you go by and water falls that you go under. -Chloe, age 9

I loved the signs, they were so silly all throughout Roa’s Aviary. I also loved that just when you thought you wouldn’t get squirted, you did. – Emma, age 7

I loved how the water kept you moving in one direction. I also liked swimming below the birds. I could touch the bottom and that’s good because I am short. -Maci, age 5

Here are some of their thoughts of Aquatica as a whole:

I love how family friendly Aquatica is. It’s all about water play and my favorite way to spend time in Aquatica is feeding the Sting Rays thru the Sting Ray interaction program. – Chloe, age 9

I really like wave pool. The waves get so big. I like to build sand castles and watch the waves crash them. (You get 7 minutes before the waves start!) – Emma, age 7

My favorite thing about Aquatica is Sting Ray Falls. I can ride it with my family and it goes under a tunnel where Sting Rays are swimming over me. I also really like the Shamu shaped ice cream bar that my mom bought me there. – Maci, age 5

And there is SOOO much to say about Seaworld itself. I asked them to tell me what ONE thing they loved most about our visit that weekend and this is what they had to say:

As always, I personally love going to Seaworld. There is something magical about getting to see Killer Whales! I personally loved the chance to ask a SeaWorld Trainer all about Shamu. I personally asked about them getting back into the water with Shamu. I absolutely can not hold the tears back when I see the trainers working in unison with Shamu. Since Blackfish has been released, I have researched a ton about Killer Whales and Seaworld has been great about their response to the movie. They have helped point out the facts and I have signed the Truth Agreement in support of them. All of that to say that I love that the trainer was willing to answer ANY questions anyone had about their procedures or care of the whales. It was a treat to listen as she answered tons of questions with clarity and honesty.

I love how I can always count on Seaworld to provide education and entertainment to my family. We can relax and laugh while watching the Sealions show, or Azul, or we can learn more about sea life in an indoor aquarium, as well as interact thru various programs. We can also enjoy rides, let the kids play in slash pads, or relax inside one of their many delicious restaurants.

Watch for an upcoming post about Chloe’s Beuliga interaction at Seaworld.

Plan to attend Adventurecon next year…go here to sign up for more information.

  1. Very cool to hear about AdventureCon and SeaWorld/ Aquatica from the child’s point of view. I know if my kids are having fun, then it’s much easier for us to enjoy quality time together as a family.

  2. This is so creative and interesting. Thanks for the perspective.
