I have to say that I’ve been impressed with the gas prices lately…less then $3/gal is good these days. Although I did see a $0.15 jump over night and that just kills me! Well, Tom Thumb (or Safeway affiliated stores) have a deal that will help you save year round on gas! You can build Reward Points and save upto $1/gal!
All participating ExxonMobil gas stations now allow you to use your points earned at Tom Thumb. How cool is that?
Find your nearest ExxonMobil, swipe your rewards card, and save. You can sign up for a rewards card for FREE. Sign up online and register on Safeway.com. The cashier at your local store can also sign you up. There’s no membership fee or payment required to join. Super easy…and quick too.
This is how it works: For every $1 you spend on groceries and pharmacy items, you’ll earn 1 point. If you’re purchasing qualifying gift cards, you can earn up to 2 points per $1. Once you reach a 100 points, you earn $0.10 off per gallon, 200 points is $0.20 off per gallon, 500 points is $0.50 off per gallon, and 1,000 points is $1 off per gallon.
I have gotten into a habit of shopping first, then gassing up as a way to save even more!
Givewaway: One lucky MyCRAZYSavings reader will win a $50 gift card to any local Tom Thumb or Safeway affiliated store. To enter this giveaway, simple leave a comment on this post telling me what you would spend that extra $20 in savings on. Giveaway ends on 10/25 at 5PM CST.
*Safeway provided me with a gift card to facilitate this blog post and is also providing my winner with one as well. All opinions are my own.
