I was so excited to take my family to a pre screening of Monsters University this week! I loved the first one and this prequel was adorable!
I loved how instead of doing the traditional sequel, they did a prequel which built up to a funny screening for both adults and kids! The screening we saw was 3D which added so much more!
John Goodman as James P. Sullivan and Billy Crystal has Mike Wazowski make the movie engaging and full of laughs! From the first Monsters Movie, you would never think that they had their differences, as they are inseparable. However, in the beginning they were anything but friends! It was thru an unfortunate turn of events that left this pair fighting together to gain access to the Scare program at Monsters University. I won’t give the movie away, but I will say that I felt strong undertones of friendship, loyalty, trust, and teamwork. I also loved that Sullivan got “real” and confessed his wrong doing in the movie. This is a great lesson for kids to learn! Humility!
My 4, 6, and 8 yr old sat thru this movie and laughed and laughed! Afterwards, my 8 yr old couldn’t stop talking about it! This is a great movie to take kids of all ages! I can’t recall any phrase or action in the movie that I felt was “questionable” for my kids viewing! This movie comes out to theaters on June 21st, and has my highest recommendation!
