Oh my goodness, this was 9 yrs ago and my hubby looks SOO young!

Q. In celebration that this may be the first Father’s Day season for many new dads out there, what was the special moment when you realized that your partner (and/or YOU )had become a father?
A. I knew my hubby was excited about becoming a dad when he started telling people that we were expecting! We had several years of infertility and a miscarriage before getting pregnant and seeing our tiny little girl on ultrasound!

To answer the questions, I can remember my ex husband realizing it when we went to the birthing classes. We were separated at the time. There was this game where you had to change a baby doll’s diaper and whoever could do it the fastest won a prize. I think the look on his face at that moment was the time he figured it out.

It was on Valentine’s day and I realized it had been about 6 weeks since my last cycle and I gave him a special valentines day card with her due date in it

I knew my husband would be a great father when he first bought the baby an outfit before he was born. He came to every one of my doctor’s appointments and was so excited. The first time he held our son we both had tears in our eyes. He has been wonderful and very helpful the last two years. This would be a perfect Father’s Day gift for him this year, because we are expecting our second son in August. He is so deserving and special. Thank you for the opportunity to enter this great giveaway.
The first time he held his daughter I knew that he was forever changed. I saw a calmness in him and pure joy in his eyes.

My hubby realized it on the day of Delivery! When he held our little boy for the first time. 🙂
We both knew we were pregnant when the little stick tested positive. It really hit him on my 1st doctor’s visit. When he heard our daughter’s heart beat, he immediately began to cry. Then, I started crying and even the doctor seemed to tear up. The pride, joy and love felt that day……Deep breathe b/c I’m getting misty eyed all over again. 🙂

The first time I held my son
I can remember my hubby’s face when I stopped him from leaving for work and told him we were pregnant. That’s when he became a dad!
I’d have to say it was the first time we saw the baby’s heartbeat via sono. It made it all very, very real!
because we had been through infertility treatments and many failed cycles I think my husband was afraid to be excited but at the 20 week sonogram when he saw her moving around and sucking her thumb at that moment I think it became REAL.
I realized we had become parents right after my son was born and we had a moment to stare at him for a moment.
I knew my husband became a daddy when we heard our son’s heartbeat the first time!
I hate to say it but it wasn’t a special moment but I do recall telling him and it went okay I guess and now we have a 24 yr old son!

I went to the hospital the night the night before I was going to be induced. I think when they started hooking me up to machines it all became real to my hubby and very clear that he was going to be a dad.
My hubby reminds me that he knew I was pregnant before I even did! He knew before the positive test. He knew before I was sick. He just knew & I think that was the point for him. They always say the Mother is the one who acts all humbled & like she’s got a little secret… Nope. The roles were reversed & my husband was the one acting that way — while I was losing my mind & feeling sick & panicked.
My husband first realized when the doctor placed our daughter in his arms for the first time, and he saw her. He was so excited that he was the first to hold her!

Oh for us it was when he held him for the first time! I had a csection, so he got to hold him first and show him to me! Was so special!

We took a pregnancy test – and then another one a couple days later to confirm that it was really true. We were so excited!

The day we found out I was pregnant. We had agreed to wait till I was 12 weeks to announce it to anyone, but pretty much the minute the second line showed up he called his parents so excited to be a daddy
