Disney’s Sophia the First Review

We were sent Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess to check out and my 4 yr old LOVED it! This DVD is 48 minutes long…so not so long it doesn’t hold your little ones attention…but long enough for you to sweep and mop the kitchen floor! 🙂

Maci loved the show and as a mom, I loved that this adorable little Princess is not focused on her “prince charming.” Disney made this extremely age appropriate for kids of all ages. I liked that this movie did not point to a traditional family that had everything perfect, but instead was the story of a step family, learning to do life and love each other. Sophia was on the quite the journey as she became royalty. She was able to overcome the struggle and learned that becoming beautiful had more to do with honesty, loyalty, and grace…and less about physical beauty! These are all great attributes that I want my girls to learn. Beauty is skin deep, but it’s what is inside that really matters!!!
