We were sent the Polly Pocket Playtime Pet Shop Play Set and a Polly Pocket DVD to review and my kids went crazy! This is the 2nd one we have received to review. Both are very different…each having things we loved about them!
My 4 yr old is very hands on and loves to carry around tiny pieces. She is the kiddo that will have 10 things in her tiny hands EVERYWHERE she goes. She feels lost without her hands full. The Playtime Pet Set was perfect for her as it comes with TONS of little pieces. I let her play with it before her sisters got home. She was in heaven. She kept saying “I’m really nice because I am going to share with my sisters” Hahaha!
I must say that I felt this set had WAY MORE tiny pieces then the last one we reviewed. This set did not have the little suction cups on the feet. I really liked those on the other set because they could carry it around the house and the pieces stayed together and didn’t drop and leave a trail.
Overall, my kids really enjoy playing with Polly Pocket…and as I said, I love that it’s not all about the clothes that she is wearing anymore! I love the Pet Shop idea as my kids love playing with “different” fun imagination provoking toys. (I’m not a fan of toys that encourage early romance…and I feel Polly is great at not promoting this!)
My 7 yr old had this to say about the movie “Polly’s friends helped her win the rollerskating race. Her friends made sure she was able to win all of the challenges that the girl on the TV thru at her.” When I asked Chloe what the moral of the story was, she said “to help your friends!” I love that!
