We’ve had our little guy in swim lessons for a few years now. He is really progressing well and I am loving the confidence he is gaining with each lesson. Recently we had a crazy snow storm here in Dallas. I talked with my older girls about the dangers of walking on frozen ponds, as kids were doing it. A few kids even got rescued after falling in.
As we were talking about this, my 5 yr old son told me that he is so glad he is in swim lessons so that he knows how to swim. He also said that he knows he can’t swim a long distance and needed to stay in swim lessons so he could learn how to do that. I love that even at 5 he understands the need for swim lessons and continuing to gain skills in water.
We love Aquakids Swim School in Mckinney. We have been there since he was 2. This is truly a swim school that cares about their students. We are always greeted by first name when we arrive. We love seeing familiar faces each week when we arrive for lessons. Best of all, it’s indoors, so we continue to go year round. They have adapted and kept their doors open during this past year and I can’t imagine that was easy. They have been so great!
You don’t want to wait until summer to start swim lessons…do them now so that when summer is here your kiddos have confidence and you can practice with them their new skills!
