Thanks to Welch’s Fruit Snacks, who gave away tickets for Dak Prescott’s ProCamp, I can tell you all about how awesome it was! Dak goes all in for two days on teaching kids, grades 1st-8th football skills. This is not one of those camps where they talk about “possible celebrity appearances”… Dak was there… the whole time! Dak Prescott and some area high school and college coaches offered tips and hands-on instruction, offered lectures, fundamental football skills stations, some contests, and non-contact games for them to play! I loved that they were in small groups by age which made me feel like they were getting the biggest bang for the buck!
What makes this camp different from other football camps? Dak says “I’m a real person. I was once the kid they are,” he said. “I try to leave them at the end of each camp that I was once in their shoes. I was a kid who dreamed about being in the NFL and playing college football, and playing for the Cowboys, and look – I am here now. I am no different then them and they are no different than me. They control their dreams and never let anyone tell them what they can and can’t do. If they can leave here today and take that away I am happy.”
Did I mention that me and my kids love Welch’s Fruit Snacks? Not only is it a trusted brand that has been around for many years, but they are made with real fruit and they are a great snack for the summer!
