Family Fun at Knott’s Berry Farm

My family and I were recently invited to check out Buena Park, California! We knew this would be the perfect last trip for the summer. We were given tickets to a few area attractions to check out, including Knott’s Berry Farm! All opinions are mine and are honest!

I have never been to Knott’s Berry Farm, nor has my hubby. We didn’t know what to expect, except a day of fun! As the day grew closer, we learned that we would be in the park on Snoopy’s birthday! This provided additional fun for everyone in the park that day!

We shuttled to the park from our hotel, so we didn’t have any parking issues at all. Once arriving at the park, we walked right thru security. There was NO line! It was fabulous. We were able also hand our tickets over to be scanned with no line! Once we were inside the park, we saw characters and hopped right in line for a quick photo!

After a few more photos, we were off to explore! We decided to check out Camp Snoopy first, which has rides for little ones. Since there was NO lines the big kids did a big ride while I took the younger two for a smaller ride. Nathan rode his first amusement park ride at Knott’s Berry Farm, and loved it! He rode it two times as there were no lines. We rode rides all morning before heading over to Ghost Town for some interactive play.

Ghost Town currently has Ghost Town Alive going on (thru Sept. 4th). My girls could have spent ALL day playing in Ghost Town. The girls learned all about old Western culture. They were not quick to believe a few of the not-so-tall-tales. How could this thing be a phone?

They all got mustaches to help get into their roles. Maci was happy to deliver a package across town. Chloe was happy to escort the prisoner off of the train to town square.

We stayed until we had to leave for our dinner reservations at Pirate Adventure. The afternoon was filled with rides, treats, and making memories. Since it was Snoopy’s birthday, we followed along on Twitter for fun giveaways in the park. The last one of the day was an adorable Birthday Snoopy and a coupon for a birthday cupcake! The girls loved the cupcake and bringing home a fun souvenir.

Here are a few tips for going to Knott’s Berry Farm:

1.) Download the Knotts App. It’s free and definitely helps you when you are in the park!

2.) Purchase the Fastlane wrist band as you get to go straight to the front of the lines!

3.) Purchase the All Day dining play. You can eat all day and never pay but once!

4.) Purchase the Souvenir Bottle as you get free refills all day. This was awesome to have and we were thankful for non stop refills!

5.) Check their Promotions tab for the latest deals before heading in!

6.) Look around in the giftshops…you might be surprised to find some pretty awesome deals, like B1G1!

The day after we enjoyed Knott’s, we went to a larger near by park and within a few hours, my girls verbally said that they wished we had done a 2nd day at Knott’s instead of Disney!

This post is one of a few that I will be doing for Buena Park. Keep checking back for more posts of fun things to do in the area! So much fun to be had!
