I love summer and making memories! One of my favorite parts about summer is the down time that allows for playing in the kitchen! Thanks to a recent visit to the Eggo Waffle Bar Truck at Walmart, I am recreating the fun for my own family! The Waffle Bar Truck is currently traveling around Texas and will move a total of 200 times over 100+ days. Check out the locator and find a location near you before it stops traveling in September!
Delicious News! Eggo waffles now have no artificial flavors and colors from natural sources. I love the idea of a Waffle Bar as there are so many options and occasions for having one…and it’s different!
To create this fun “Waffle Bar” I went to Walmart and bought everything I thought would taste awesome on an ice cream sandwich. I purchased Kellogg’s® Eggo® Homestyle, Jif® Creamy Peanut Butter, Smucker’s® Hot Fudge Spoonable Ice Cream Topping, M&M’s® Minis Milk Chocolate Candies (210 cal per serving), and Breyer’s® Natural Vanilla Ice Cream!
Once home, I started with baking the Eggo Homestyle to a crunchy texture. To make one serving size of the Eggo Ice Cream Sandwich, I simply layered like this:
Eggo Homestyle, Jif Creamy Peanut Butter (for flavor and to keep the M&M’s from falling out), M&M’s, Smuckers Hot Fudge to top the M&M’s, Breyers Natural Vanilla Ice Cream around the edges, Eggo Homestyle!
I choose to add a touch of Jif on top and a few colored M&M’s to make it extra fun! Nutritional Value:
Nice idea and super easy to make my kind of treat. Now I am craving waffles =) Thanks for participating in this shop ~ client
