My baby is turning 7. Let me say that again…my BABY is turning seven. I am beyond sad to think about how quickly the past seven years have flown by. She is a very smart, witty, happy go lucky, friendly girl! She loves life and makes friends with everyone she comes in contact with. She has her own thoughts about everything and loves to share them!
She also loves FROZEN! She loves everything about Frozen and requested a FROZEN Themed birthday party! Luckily, I had just browsed the party isles at Walmart and saw that they had an awesome supply of FROZEN themed party supplies. I took Maci with me and we had fun picking out her birthday party decor. We had lots of options. She choose plates (big and small), cups, napkins, wall clings, a customizable “Happy Birthday” banner, center pieces, a few fun things to hang from the light fixture, and some necklaces to give away. We also grabbed a few photo opp props that were FROZEN themed. I was very excited to find everything I needed at once place! Check out the party isle at Walmart!
We wanted to make her cupcakes special and after seeing a fun tutorial on Disney’s Inside Out cupcakes from The Nerds Wife, we knew we had to do something like it! We decided to do an easy tutorial on how to make FROZEN Themed Snowball Surprise Cupcakes.
To make these you need the following ingredients:
1 Box White cake mix (make as directed, and add 5 drops of Blue food coloring to batter!)
1 package of white Sixlets
and the recipe in the video for blue sugar glass.
Make your cupcakes and let cool. While cupcakes are baking, work on your candy glass, as it takes a few hours to chill and set. Once cupcakes are cook, use a small circle to cut open the top of the cupcake. I used a small medicine cup for this. Take off the top and add the white Sixlets, then cover back up and ice as normal. Last, break apart and use your blue sugar glass to top as ice. We used our little mini FROZEN figures to decorate the cupcake stand.
This birthday party cost me less then $60. The decor was around $50 total and the rest was cupcake supplies! Super simple, inexpensive and I promise your party will be a HIT! Share your tips on saving on your children’s birthday parties!

Cute party! OH my gosh, I can’t believe your baby is seven! That’s insane. My baby is 4 this year and I can’t even try to think ahead to him being 7. Crazy. Great cupcakes, and it looks like Maci had a great 7th birthday party! Happy birthday to her! #client
