I was given the opportunity to test drive the Chrysler 200 this weekend and I have to say… I did NOT want to give it back! There are many obvious features that would cause one to fall in love with this car. The reasons that I love it are probably not what you think.
It’s not the beautiful design of the body of the Chrysler or the smooth 9 speed Automatic Transmission, instead it’s things that affect me and my comfort levels.
I am 100% totally in love with the heated steering wheel! Yes you read that correctly! Heated STEERING wheel! When I get in my car in the winter, I tend to hold my wheel at 10 and 2 and have fingers out to the sides to get warmed up by the heater. No need for this with with the 2015 Chrysler 200C! Of course the heated seats is awesome as well! The dual controls are a marriage saver! I want everything warm and cozy and Steve wants everything cool. Being able to control our side of the car saves arguments!
Another feature that I really like is the rear back up camera. I have it on my Chrysler Town and Country van and it’s made backing out of my driveway so much easier. We have a ton of kids on our streets…and they are often zipping around the streets. This safety feature is a great addition and this feature on the Chrysler 200C is even better then on my 2012 van. The sensors are wrapped around the back bumper and a little on the sides giving a better view of what is going on behind the car.
Hooking up my iPhone for hands free driving was super simple and I love being able to answer the phone with the push of one button on the steering wheel. I also loved the remote start feature on this one. With it being 30 degrees here in Dallas, I need all of the help I can get to stay warm!
Last, I absolutely was confused at how to shift gears in this car. There was NO stick to shift. Then I noticed a small dial that appeared to be where this was controlled! Yip, this small control was exactly how it is done! So small and very simple to use! Love it! Less space taken means more space for storage! Speaking of…I love the storage in this car!
