I am excited about participating in the Susan G Komen this year! My grandma is a breast cancer survivor and I am so thankful. I know that it seems so out of touch for many as most feel invincible…but it’s not. It’s far more common then I care to admit. In fact, my roommate from college…who is the same age as me, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer this year.
She is currently fighting thru and taking chemo. (You can follow her story here.)
I am walking 20 miles in honor of her and I am sure it will be the most emotional 20 miles I’ve ever walked. I will be walking with other survivors and hearing their stories!
