Hey attendees of last nights coupon class! I was so thankful to make it and be able to bring my most helpful helper with me last night! I loved getting to speak with you about saving money and couponing! As a mom of 4 little kiddos myself, I know how important it is to stretch the $!
Kinds of coupons:
Printables, Catalinas, Mailers, Store Coupons, Manufacturer Coupons, Peelies, Blinkies, Receipt Coupons, Clipless Coupons, Coupon Codes, Check Coupons
How to use coupons:
Do not cut everything, only cut or print for brands that you are already using. Stack coupons and use them on a sale item for the best deal.
EXAMPLE: Target Baby Formula stack… $10 off $50 store coupon, $5 Manuf checks, $2 Manuf coupons, $10 off 3 promo. $34 for what would have cost $75!!!
To get the best deal on products… watch the sale cycles… chicken breast goes on sale every 3 weeks… buy enough for 3 weeks.
Ways to save without coupons: Aldi, Bountiful Baskets, Shop the Ads, Dented can/clearance, Costco (spinach $3.99 vs $46.99), Amazon, Garage Sale sites, Walmart Savings Catcher, loyalty coupons or rewards (starbucks giftcard reg…)
Saving on Organics: Coupons on brand sites: Mom’s Best, Seventh Generation. Buy in bulk from whole foods… spices, etc.
Apps to help you save:
Cartwheel for Target: Target specific App
BerryCart is a rebate app for organic, healthy, GMO Free Foods. To get the rebate you need to upload your receipt to the app and your rebate amount is added to your Berry Cart account.
Checkout51 is a rebate app. Upload your receipt to the app and receive money back into your Checkout51 account.
Ibotta is another rebate app!
Out to Eat with Kids quickly tells you which restaurants offer deals based on location and deal for that day! (McAlisters!)
SavingStar is a great way to save big money on your groceries and pharmacy store purchases. They are the first and only national, fully-digital grocery eCoupon rewards service.
Snap By Groupon is an easy to use rebate app. The selections of products are great and you can purchase them at any store. Also, you can do the rebate multiple times which is a great feature for stocking up on products.
Rules for coupons: You can not copy coupons… they have unique codes. Look for the product worded on the coupon…NOT the photo. (pay attention to size!) Stores get coupon value plus .08 paid back for each coupon you use. Stand your ground, know your rules.
What are you going to do with your savings??
