You don’t have to travel far for family fun if you live in Texas! San Antonio offers a ton for families! We wanted a quick change in scenery over the holidays and went there to enjoy some time away, exploring! There is so much to see and do in San Antonio!
I often get asked where we like to stay when we go, and we love Courtyard by Marriott which is near Seaworld.
We of course, had to drop in and have a fun day at Sea World! They have so many “extras” at Christmas!
When traveling to San Antonio, you should watch the weather for a few days! We knew that one day was going to be high 70’s and the the following day would be 50’s! It was perfect though! We brought warm and cooler weather clothes!
A few of the other things we did while in San Antonio include the Alamo, Ripleys, Tomb Raider 3D, Guinness Book of World Records, Louis Tussauds Waxworks. We wish we had one more day there as we would have loved to enjoyed a river boat ride on the riverwalk. We have done that before and loved it!
Emma was so excited to see the Alamo as they are studying that in 4th grade this year! There is so much history there and we could have spent hours reading about it while there! Funny, you see it was a chilly, windy day that we went to the Alamo…and hot and sunny at Seaworld! Typical Texas weather!
One our way home, we would have liked to stop at the Caverns and also the drive thru safari but we left too late. (We ran into some friends at Ripley’s and spent a great deal of our morning hanging out with them and catching up!!) Here are a few post about the Natural Bridge Caverns and the Safari at Natural Bridge!
Visit San Antonio and enjoy the historic side along with the fun!
