I was sent Disney’s BFG (Big Friendly Giant!) to review and we laughed and laughed! Here is the review written by my 11 yr old!

Disney’s BFG is a great story about a runt giant who makes friends with an orphan girl. He didn’t intend to meet the girl, but had to kidnap the orphan because she saw him and he didn’t want her to go tell the rest of the world and start a giant hunt. The girl wanted run away and go back to the orphanage but all of the other giants would eat her. The runt giant that took her, BFG, was also a dream catcher. He went to a special tree to catch them. In the morning when the girl, Sophie, woke up from her nightmare (other giants eating her), she lectured the giant for giving her the dream. Well the giant did not care. He just went along with his day eating his breakfast (rotten veggies) and drinking his favorite drink ever (which has bubbles going down… gas bubbles…. going down which means they go down in the body, it is what the BFG calls a WHIZZPOPPER!) Well after he had a good laugh with the Whizzpopper, he heard someone at the door. It was a giant who came to see if he had any “beans” (meaning human beans). Sophie had to hide because she didn’t want to get eaten by the giant.

The story ends as Sophie realizes that the only way to help the BFG stop being bullied by the giants and to protect the kids from being taken and eaten was to call in the help from the Queen. How that plays out is one of my favorite scenes in this movie! I won’t give away everything but I will say that there is a happy ending!

You can order Disney’s The BFG on Amazon for just $19.99 on DVD!
