I am excited to be back in the thrills of preschool years again. This means learning ways to help my little guy be independent. To self feed, to put himself to sleep, and to be potty trained. I have only potty trained girls and am searching high and low for info on potty training a BOY! I’ve heard that giving them a target is key…but of course I haven’t tried that yet. Another way is to let them go outside (in the back yard of course!) I am a dry sponge looking for tips…so if you have some, please leave them in the comments of this post!
Speaking of potty training, it can be a stressful adventure for parents (and toddlers) but it doesn’t have to be! It’s a great milestone for toddlers and spring is the time many families kick-off potty training so they are ready for summer fun and then for the start of preschool. Potty training can feel like an overwhelming process, and when minor leaks or accidents occur, it can be a disappointment. Pampers Easy Ups helps makes this journey a little easier by providing better leak protection than the leading competitor.
Like me, you probably want potty training to be a positive experience for your little one, but leaks, accidents, and switching from training pants to diapers overnight can feel like setbacks. This is why we want to empower our little ones to overcome these obstacles to achieve and celebrate potty training success. Training pants support the diaper-to-underwear transition for our littles as they have a more underwear-like look and feel while still helping to keep messes off clothing, bedding and other surfaces no matter where accidents happen: at home, on-the-go or overnight.

My favorite brand is Pampers Easy Ups because they work during the day AND night, enabling toddlers and moms to confidently and completely transition from diapers to underwear. They move with the kiddo easily and there is no need to buy one thing for the day and a different item for night.
Twitter Party:
Please join @Pampers on April 28 from 9-10pm EST as they host a Twitter Party with Dr. Laura Jana, pediatrician, award-winning parenting book author and potty training expert who co-authored to Its You and Me Against the Pee…and the Poop, Too! Dr. Jana will be sharing her tips to help simplify and improve the potty training experience for little ones and their parents. I am hoping to get some great tips since this round I will be potty training a BOY!!! RSVP Here for the Twitter Party!
Here is one tip from Dr. Laura Jana which I think it’s PERFECT!
Celebrate every win. As with any learning experience, young children can learn a lot from both their potty successes and their setbacks. While potty accidents are an inevitable (and admittedly inconvenient) aspect of potty learning, they shouldn’t dominate your day-to-day discussions. Instead, simply help your child learn to cope with and clean up any messes, and focus your attention on celebrating your child’s efforts and successes with plenty of hugs and words of encouragement.

Rewards really helped my little one with potty training. We didn’t want to do a food or candy based reward, so we used stickers. He placed stickers for using the potty on a calendar and each day we’d look at this progress and make a big deal out of it if he went on the potty for 2 or more days in a row.
I have found using a reward system really helps a lot and just have a lot of patience.

I have ZERO personal advice! We’ve just obtained our first potty and it’s Minnie Mouse because we are OBSESSED! What’s with these mice? How do they hook children so easily? ? Anywho, I’ve heard that you should stay home for three days straight and stock up on juice, milk and snacks. Have the toddler drink as much as they can during the day and take them to the potty to sit every 15 minutes. Do this for three days straight and VOILA, potty trained. Sounds crazy to me but I will probably give it a whirl at some point. ?? Thanks for the opportunity to win! We need all the help we can get.
I used small rewards, which helped to motivate my kids. Having patience helps.
My tip is to reward your child for using his potty
My potty training advice is to never get frustrated in front of your child. They can pick up on it and get discouraged themselves causing setbacks. Always have a smile on and offer encouragement and positivity.
My tip is to be patient and to offer treats as a reward.
My tip is to make a fun weekend out of it (for your child), and really try to make the transition in that short period of time. It makes switching from diapers to potty clear cut for the child.
Thanks for the chance to win!

My tip is to use words of encouragement and read potty training books to kids.
We use reward system, usually stickers and it works great.
My tip is to use a rewards system and to never discipline or yell at your child if they are not successful/have an accident.
My tip: Stay consistent, have a glass of wine and know it will happen one day!
