I have never really been able to wrap my brain around why people lease vehicles instead of buying them. I suppose they like getting something new every few years or not having to worry about certain things that come with ownership, but it just hasn’t made sense for me.
I love the thought of owning something outright. Not making payments, but it being fully mine. Then I don’t have to worry about keeping it perfect or not driving it too many miles, etc. The freedoms that come with ownership are endless.
I will say that if you are indecisive and that is your reason for not buying, then perhaps renting the car that you are wanting to buy for a week might be a good solution for you. Driving it and getting a feel for how it handles your driveway, street, commute is important. Not all dealerships allow you to take the car out for more then 20-30 minutes and that’s not a large window of time for such a big decision.
