My husband has never been a “pick up guy!” He does, however, love being able to move large items from time to time. We don’t rent pick ups, or borrow, we simply use our van. It’s a Chrysler Town and Country and all of the seats tumble down flat.
With the seats tumbled, he can easily load items such as a stove, washer or dryer, twin mattress, or dresser. Honestly, we have never really moved anything much bigger then that. (I HATE paying delivery fees if we can do it ourselves!)
When we went out looking for a van, we knew we wanted specific things and seats that tumble were one of them. Having the extra space to move items from time to time has been so nice. I believe we can even fully remove our back seat if needed.
With the seats upright, we also have tons of cargo space. Behind the third row, we can put our stroller and tons of other items. It’s deep! Also, the space where the two bucket seats would tumble into are great for storing items as well. We don’t tend to put things in them….unless we need to hide things from the kids! (It’s a great spot for Christmas gifts!)
My hubby loves our van also because of the sliding doors. It’s easy access and no fear of the kids accidentally door dinging a nearby car. With seats for 7, he loves that everyone has their own space! We can pack out that van for road trips and everyone still has plenty of room to relax and not feel crowded.
