Cars have changed a ton in my short 36 years of life. As a child, I am not sure I ever buckled up until I was maybe 10ish. My grandma tells me how she would just hold me in her arms as a child, that there were not car seats. The windows had to be manually cracked, doors had to be be manually locked and unlocked. Van’s only had one side that opened, not both sides. We did not have air conditioner in the back at all. We thought we were special because our car played cassette tapes…most cars only had AM/FM radios.

Today cars are much different! Automatic everything… windows, doors, remote start motors, cars that park themselves. It’s amazing how much technology has changed the way we get from point A to point B. Build in satellite GPS systems are more common then not, USB ports have replaced cigarette lighter port, or 12 V connection. Cars are fancy with super smart technology. Wifi enabled vehicles are everywhere. Things I would have never dreamed a car could do, they do.

The future is headed towards more technology, smarter vehicles that will possibly drive themselves. It seems odd to think that is possible, but honestly the quick moving, ever changing innovative technology is pointing to that. Cars that run on solar power and vegetable oil already exist…could they create one that only runs on air? How crazy would that be?

Ford is always improving and inventing new fun updates to current technology and I am sure they will be front of the line with their 2017 models. Check out Minesford Ford for your next ride! They sell both new and used cars!
