Sometimes as a blogger, I get fun opportunities to bless others! As a Family Christian Blogger, I have that opportunity today! I get to nominate a pastor or ministry leader to win a Duck Commander Cruise vacation. I love being able to bless others and love that Family Christian is giving me this opportunity!
There are some people that you meet in your lifes journey that are bigger then life. I first met Bone (Mike Keahbone) at the Baptist Student Union in college! I remember him being a funny guy who loved the Lord. He spoke wisdom into many lives in that BSU and gave us all a ton of belly laughs as well! I knew God had great things for him. Bone was there when my mom unexpectedly passed away in a car wreck.
Bone was very involved in my husbands life as well. They were buddys…and infact they were part of the Four Horseman…a select group of guys that deemed themselves leaders. Because of the love that Bone poured into our lives, we knew he was the perfect pastor to marry us. We asked him, and he joyfully said yes.
Bone has been there for us thru many ups and downs throughout our marriage. He prayed for us when we struggled with infertility, he rejoiced with us when we were with child after many failed infertility treatments and a miscarriage. He was very affirming when my husband graduated seminary and went into full time ministry. And Mike was there to love on us and speak God’s truth and grace when we faced the darkest hours in our marriage. He prayed with us for restoration and we are forever blessed by his friendship. We never felt judged, only loved by him.
In fact, Bone has impacted thousands of lives. He has traveled all over the country doing revivals and speaking God’s truth to groups of all ages. Bone is currently serving as Sr. Pastor of Cherokee Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
Bone has a servants heart and there are many testimonies that I could share about how God has used him. Bone has three small children and a beautiful wife who serves along side him. I truly believe that he would be greatly blessed to win a vacation to renew and refresh his soul! He loves Duck Dynasty and being on the Duck Commander Cruise would be a huge highlight! I would love to be able to give that to him and bless him as he has blessed so many.
With 20+ years in ministry, God is using him to build the kingdom and restore the broken. Bone lives out Colossians 1:28 – teaching with wisdom so that all can be presented fully mature in Christ.
I did a little snooping and found his testimony on his YouTube channel! I’ve added it below so you can see how he came to know Christ.
How has your pastor personally impacted your life? Have you told him? God has richly blessed so many lives through pastors and ministers and I encourage you to stop by Family Christian Stores and pick up a card and pour out your thanks and then personally hand deliver it to your pastor!
Exciting news! YOU can also win a cruise by going into your local Family Christian store, or entering online here. Please let me know if you win! I love celebrating with my readers!

Mike is my son-in-law. I just want to say thank you for this wonderful blog. You did a beautiful job and it touched my heart. Mikey, as I call him, is a wonderful man of God. God has trully given him a gift to share the Word. I pray that he wins as being in the ministry is not an easy task….for Mike or Jennifer. The whole family makes sacrifices for him to be out ministering to the people. I have already told him that I will keep the kids if he wins. However, I would die to go on this cruise. I absolutely love the Duck Dynasty family. Mike is actually the one who introduced me to the Tv show. LOL
Thank you ,
Donna
He sounds like a great leader for the Lord!
Love this man and his sweet family! He’s an amazing man of God and I’d love to see him win this trip. He has an incredible gift for bringing Christ to a lost and dying world., in terms that even a child can understand. We are so blessed to have him as our pastor and friend!
he is awesome!
Keahbone has been our speaker at church camp many years and he is an incredible blessing!
Great article about a man that is being used by God. He doesn’t just preach the Gospel, but God uses him to call for a response.
Mike and Jennifer have been such and inspiration to my girls. My youngest always recounts the many services Mike has preached at her school, church and Falls Creek. He has been a true to sharing God’s love for everyone. His wife is an inspiration as well. Loving, giving and expecting nothing in return. Their family is just awesome view of God’s love.
He is an amazing Godly man
I first came to know Mike when I was a freshman in high school. I was very lost and confused and Mike’s way with the lord, his compassionate nature, and his beautiful way of making others laugh, really touched my heart in a deeper way than anyone could ever imagine. Mike loves everyone he meets as if they are family, and that’s just one of his MANY wonderful qualities. His testimony gives hope to those who have none, and his love for the lord shines SO bright! I’ve met people all over the nation who know Mike and they ALL love him, just as I always have! I believe Mike deserves this trip with the Duck Dynasty Crew because he has touched THOUSANDS of lives with gods word and to me, that’s quite an accomplishment. I am so blessed to know Mike, and I know if you choose him, everyone in the Duck Dynasty Family will love him just as we all do.
Bone was my first youth minister and I will forever be grateful! You have been such a blessing to my life. Thank you for being an awesome leader and showing me what it is to love the Lord and live a life that honors Him! Bone and Jennifer deserve this trip! They devote their lives to serving others and I know they would appreciate an opportunity like this!!!
I agree with this blog completely! I have been watching Pastor Mike and Cody Bobay on the Keahbone Project since January — 112 days! Both Pastor Mike and Cody have influenced me so much in the past months. They are both Godly men with very sweet families. I feel like they are my friends!! I have enjoyed watching the videos on the Keahbone project. They have encouraged me to walk closer with God and loose weight and exercise and be healthy. I really appreciate Pastor Mike and his willingness to share his journey to help others . . . including me!
When Mike Keahbone served as youth pastor at Riverview Baptist Church, he was a wonderful blessing to our church, as well as to myself. But most importantly, to me at least, was the strong, loving leader he was for the young people of the community, which included my own three children. He is a wise, unselfish, caring man, who strives to lead as many people to the Cross as possible in his lifetime, with fierce tenacity and boldness. We miss his leadership and friendship in this area, but are thankful for the legacy of learning, love, and compassion he left behind – and the lives the Father will lead him to touch in the future.
I first became friends with Mike Keahbone while he was serving as youth minister at Pawnee First Baptist Church. Not sure how many years ago that has been but he is a friend that has made a huge difference in our lives, as well as so many lives in this small town. He has loved and served so many that feel they are unlovable. Just one example of his obedience to his compassion for serving others came when I unexpectedly lost my sister to a brain injury. He did not know my sister and her family at all but spent many hours at the hospital with me and my sister’s children. Through his witness and love shown there were many lives changed. His wife Jennifer and three small children deserve this trip as a refreshment to their soul and relationship as a family. They give so much of themselves to others its time they receive!!
Bone was my youth minister when I was in high school, and he was one of the most influential people God has placed in my life to mold my faith. I am so thankful that God placed him in my path! When I first visited the church, I was battling depression and struggling with my faith. He saw through my off-putting clothes (leaning towards a goth/grunge look) and my bad attitude, and he loved me where I was at. My life story would be much, much different if it weren’t for Mike Keahbone.
What an awesome Godloving family.
He is one in a million! He has followed God and touched MANY lives!!!
This guy is totally amazing. I was blessed to be the secretary when he began ministry at Central Baptist Church. Never a dull day – I must say!! Some I wanted to kill him but never dull. What a heart for the Lord! Amazing gift of speaking straight to kids! He deserves a day or two off..but more than that his wife deserves this trip! She has been the one to keep the home alive and well as he travels so much. What a blessing this trip would be to them. Please!! Select Mike and Jennifer Keahbone!!
Mike and Jennifer have been a part of my life in the most difficult and most joyous occasions. I love them both very much and have had the privilege of serving along side of them. Mike is an example of how faith in Christ and obedience change the generational cycle of sin and hopelessness.
mike “bone” was my youth pastor in high school at Pawnee FBC. To choose just one way he has influenced my life would be impossible! I still claim that I was his favorite and we made a dynamic duo. Him being about 6’2″-6’3″ and me being 5’2″ we were quite the team on 2 on 2 basketball. Helping me work through some overly competitive issues I had and being patient with me waiting for me to come to the realization I needed change. When I did realize he was right their to help disciple me into the person that I am today! Plus he is one the best motivation speakers I know! He pushes himself to reach his God centered goals and I have the utmost respect for where he has come from to where he is today!
I love me some Michael Keahbone. He was my daughter’s youth pastor. They r in their 30’s and still call on him to this day. He is genuine and likes bacon. =>
Haha! Love the “lkes bacon” add on!
I went to school with Jen we played softball together with her sister Julie. Her mother was a teacher at our school and went to school with my mother K-12. GO EAGLES!! haha! Through FB I have had a chance to keep in continued contact with her and to get to know her family. I have seen the many blessings they bring their church and their community. Her family is utterly amazing and beautiful. I have never met Mike in person but I have seen the joy he brings to the masses. They are always going and doing for the Lord. They would truly deserve this cruise as I am sure all the candidates would. This would be a relaxing blessing you could give them to enjoy, and all the while I know they would still use that time to minister to others! It is who they are! Good Luck guys…love and hugs from an ol’ ball buddy!
Thank you so much for all of these kind words. Today has been one of the best Mondays I have ever had! Thank you!!!!
Mike was the best youth leader and such a blessing in my life. He has been there for my family in our time of need and has offered great counsel.
“Bone” was in Pawnee, when I was in Elementary. I didn’t have him as a youth pastor, but he still knew who I was and still acknowledges me when I see him. He is an incredible light for the Kingdom. He is a great speaker and truly shows the love of Christ!
A truly Godly man and excellent speaker! I have received something invaluable from The Lord every time Mike speaks the Word. It’s a blessing to know him and his beautiful family!
Mike Keahbone has always shown to be a faithful servant of God! In his early days of serving the Lord he was the youth minister for my daughter at our church, Central Baptist Church. He was and by all accounts is still Amazing! His ability to speak to directly to the heart of each person is a gift from God. He and his wife Jennifer are the right choice for this special vacation. Thank you!
And, who could forget – Duck Dynasty would love this one! As our young youth minister at Central he decided the theme for the week at Falls Creek would be ARMY. Every army guy needs a camo-ed out vehicle to travel in. So, Bone being Bone found one to borrow and decked it out. Everything was cool until he got to “the Creek”. Did I mention he had worked as a safety patrol at the same “Creek”? One stroll around the camp, and then the golf cart all decorated up is taken to impound…..only to be released to the rightful owner who happened to be our music minister. He came that night and took the illegal thang home. That is just one of the fun stories about this guy that is not ashamed to share his faith with anyone. Come on guys, see what this American Indian can do. He will inspire you and who knows, you might get some new material from his life experiences. We love Mike Keahbone – he deserves a cruise!!
I have been privileged to know Mike for many years. We were band mates in high school though our lives have taken us on very different paths I can say without a doubt Mike has a passion for the ministry. His love for young people is second to none he has taken that and turned into a passion to minister to people of all ages. He truly understands what it means to be broken before God the resurrection power in God’s love an mercy. He wants nothing more than to share that message with all those who will listen. He and his family truly deserve this opportunity.
Mike I’m so very proud to be able to call you a friend. Continue to fight the good fight and know
that you are in my daily prayers.
Mike helped shaped me and my two best friends in to prayer warriors. Through Mike God has done some amazing thing in our live and the live of others!
I have seen this young man work with youth at local church in pawnee ok. He spent his time with youth and that is not something that I seen in young men too often. Kids were treated well and you could tell he made sure they all felt great about themselves. This man and his family deserve well earned vacation
mike is a wonderful man of God. He is a very down to earth man who takes pride in the ministry God has placed him in. He is wholly devoted to his ministry, his family and his church. I met Mike in the fall of 2005 when I interview for a secretarial position at the church he was serving. Over the next few years we ministered together as God allowed. The summer of 2008 our paths parted way. He was headed to OKC and I took a job with a school closer to home. Mike and his family have continued to remain an important part of my life. It is a honor to have called him boss to call him friend and to know he is a brother in Christ!! Mike and his family is so deserving of this awesome trip!!!
Mike and Jennifer were my youth pastor for a short time at Owasso First Baptist. Both him and has wife have been a huge blessing not only in my life today but in the past. I surrendered to missions during the time when he was there leading the youth, and have been successful in service the Lord here in the U.S. And out of country. His wife was a mentor for me and a few other young ladies in my grade. They poured into our lives and have stayed in touch with us. In the past year and a half we have been reconnect through God orchestrated events and his wife is my mentor again. I went through the a battle with cancer was was looking for a healthier alternative and lifestyle. Because they were following what the lord has called them to do I was able to find that healthier alternative and with out using pharmaceutical medication I have now defeated cancer by the Grace of God of course! Praise the Lord for the keahbones and for them being tune to listening to Gods calling on their life. They have impacted many lives in the state of Oklahoma for sure and around the United States! I honestly don’t know if I would be where I am at this point and time if it was not for the great influence that they have had in my life. Such a blessing and such a great family to bless! Keep serving the Lord and following his calling for your lives!! Bless you both and your children!
Yay for blessing our pastors!
I am absolutely convinced that God brought Mike to Hoffmantown Church in Albuquerque as a minister of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:18-21). The year 2013 was a tough year for our church. Much-loved pastors resigned, and the church body was hurt, angry, and divided. Mike came and preached the message of forgiveness and reconciliation, and God orchestrated it to bring healing to our church. While we were all sad when God called Mike away, in hindsight it seems for “such a time as this” that his family was called to be with us.
In the midst of my own heartbreaking situation and all the changes at church, my son was struggling with our circumstances and his faith. One day, he left church during the service and couldn’t be found. My daughter told Mike that my son had run away after I left to go look for him. I drove around for a while then drove to my house, and imagine my surprise to see Mike’s car there and him knocking on the door, looking for my son as for the one sheep who had gone astray. It brings tears to my eyes even now thinking about it and I will never forget it. Mike’s has a shepherd’s heart that brings God much glory.
We love Mike Keahbone!!! He is a wonderful influence with a heart of gold. Mike has been an inspiration to our family and our church. A gifted speaker with an authentic walk of faith. Please choose Mike!!!
Mike Keahbone had been our senior pastor since August. He has been an awesome leader-he loves the Lord and loves people! Mike is a gifted speaker, an inspiring leader and a hard worker. As I have served with Mike I have been blessed by his encouraging words and godly wisdom. Mike is s loving husband and father. He is very deserving to be chosen to win this opportunity for a special vacation!
