I was invited to check out the newest DFW Michaels location, in Southlake and was provided with a giftcard. All opinions are my own and are honest!

I love shopping at Michaels and was very excited to get my creative side on at a special event in Southlake! This new location is located at 1051 E. Southlake Blvd. in Southlake Park Village shopping center! This Michaels is HUGE! They have really done a lot of awesome things to help amp up your shopping experience! For instance, the displays are great! You can see signs all across the store without having to walk all over the store! You can also enjoy some new features of the store…two of my favorites are found in the front of the store and in the framing section!

The section at the front of the store (Make Market) was a ton of trendy stuff like chalk board items, twine, denim, burlap and more! Just really really cute stuff! I bought several things from that area! I LOVE chalk board items…very personalizable!

The Framing section was awesome! I knew they did custom frames, but I didn’t know that they could scan your photo and show you what each frame would look like and give you the cost break down making it easier then ever to pick exactly what you want!

One thing that I love about Michaels is that I feel so inspired when I walk in. It can be overwhelming if you don’t have an idea of what you are wanting to do…but look around for a few seconds and you will have a million ideas running thru your mind! We have a new house and I was able to buy tons of awesome items to go all around it! I bought decor for the living room,  kitchen, bathroom, and even something for my daughters bed room! I love that store!

Michael’s (in Southlake’s) official grand opening is Feb. 8th! You won’t want to miss out on checking it out! Grand opening celebrations begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a performance by the Carrol Dragon Cheer Squad at 9:45 a.m., followed by hourly prize giveaways and a DJ from 3-5p.m. Get there early – the first 100 in line receive mystery gift cards of $10-$100!

Check out the adorable chore chart that I made for my girls! You can find everything you need instore at Michaels! I am going to write their chores on popsicle sticks and place them in the appropriate pocket. When they have done the chore, they can then move them to the bottom pocket! So simple! A little bit of hot glue was all I needed to accomplish this fun craft!
