I was invited to be a guest at Beaches Resort as part of the #BeachesMoms Social Media on the Sand event and my accommodations were discounted. All opinions are mine and are honest.
I recently had the opportunity to get away to Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos with a Social Media in the Sand conference. This was my first stay at an all inclusive resort. It was so nice to relax and enjoy time on the beach with my hubby.
We opted not to take the kids on this trip as we try to do one trip a year just for us! We did invite a couple to join us for the getaway. We had never flown overseas or needed a passport until this trip. I was a little nervous about how it would all work. It was so smooth. We booked our flights thru Travelocity and got a STEAL on them! We paid less then $300 per person round trip! With tickets booked and villa reserved, we had nothing left to do! There was no planning needed, as Beaches is all inclusive. They provided transportation for us from the airport to the resort. All meals were provided and we could go to any of their 20 restaurants.
At last, we were there… We were welcomed with fresh cool towels to refreshen up.
Then they said “Welcome Home!” How cool is that! It did feel like a home!
Drinks followed as they got our keycards ready. We were quickly taken to our Two Bedroom villa! The property is well taken care of and is so beautiful! It looked like a magazine photo shoot just waiting to happen. The kind of place you dream of living at! Our bags were delivered to our Villa for us and we headed straight to the beach to soak in the beauty of God’s creation! The ocean so big and blue, the sand so fine and smooth. Paradise.
While standing on the beach, I just couldn’t help but feel sad that I didn’t bring my kids with me. It was nice getting away without them, but they were missing out on seeing this beautiful landscape! It was breath taking and I can not wait to take them back to enjoy it with us.
There are four different Villages at Beaches Resort at Turks and Caicos: Caribbean, Italian, Key West, and French. We stayed in Key West, which is casual, laid back, and luxurious. There were pools tucked away in intimate spaces, bars near fire pits, ocean view seating at restaurants and so much more.
At Social Media in the Sand conference, I heard many different speakers. I left feeling challenged in the following areas:
- Be relevant, create content that connects with my readers and gives helpful information for them to return for more
- Be purposeful in my writing. Connecting my readers to brands, ideas, and me as an individual.
- Be honest. (I don’t struggle with this…and I hope you see that in my writing!)
I was challenged to do more videos and I will get better about that. I am not confident in what I look like at times and that is one of the main reasons that I don’t do a ton of videos….but I will work on that in the coming months!
We WILL bring our kids back to enjoy this Family Friendly resort! They have 12 miles of beaches and tons for kids to do! They have a 45,000 square foot water park. They have a kids camp that your kids can enjoy all day while you have adult time! Crafts, swimming, video games, ice cream and more! Every kids dream!
Okay now dream about this with me… snorkling, kayaking, aqua trikes, paddle boarding, swim up bars, lazy river, crystal blue ocean to swim in, fine sand to walk in, hot tubs, relaxing in a hammock on the beach, fire pits at night, and perfectly prepared and served meals at any time. Who wouldn’t want to enjoy that?
20 restaurants, 12 bars, 9 slides at the water park,6 pools, 4 villages, 1 spa, and a million awesome memories made!
There is so much more I want to say about our trip to Beaches. I think I painted a picture of how awesome it is, if my words didn’t do it…I am sure you will agree that my pictures did! If you are looking for a Family Friendly vacation to enjoy that is relaxing, then THIS is the place for you. You don’t have to cook, clean, or pay for anything once you are there! Just relax and enjoy the resort.
