This past weekend my family and I got to escape city life and enjoy the weekend at LaTorretta Resort and Spa. It was a short 3.5 hour drive from our house and we were excited to enjoy the quick get away.
LaTorretta Resort and Spa is located just west of Huntsville off of I-45. It was super easy to find and the check in process was very easy too! We were given a list of events for the weekend, as well as a map.
Our room was located on the 18th floor of the tower. There are four elevators leading upto the rooms, so we didn’t have to wait long to head up. Our one bedroom suite was very nice. The bathroom was HUGE! There is a shower, as well as a bathtub. We liked having the two beds in one room, separate from the living room area. This worked great for our family because we could hang in the living space while others slept in the bedroom.
If you are looking for a place to relax at the pool…then this is the place for you! There are several pools, a hot tub, baby/toddler area, slides, and even a lazy river! We were first in the pool and it was so quiet and nice. By mid day it filled up. LaTorretta provides towels for you to use, so no need to pack those. They also have a grill/bar area at the pool for easy access to food/water.
Other things you can do while at LaTorretta include: play tennis, mini golf, arcade games, and you can rent paddle boards for $20/hr to play on as well. Check out their website here for more information and activities.
