We love making memories in our family and look for ways to do this around Dallas! I posted about a coupon for Trinity Forest Aerial Adventure Park and we went to check it out first hand!
It was SOOO much fun! We had the three hours of zipling and used every minute of the 3 hours! It was so much fun! Our youngest, Maci wasn’t tall enough but she gladly stayed on the ground and cheered us on! Our middle girl, Emma was tall enough but her nerves got the best of her. She made it up and after looking down, lost her lunch…literally. Poor thing! She joined her sister on the ground and cheered us on as well. Our oldest, Chloe, is a lot like me! She was ready to tackle it!
We were first suited up and schooled on how to use the safety clips and such. It took a bit of practice but we caught on and were climbing to our first course within a few minutes! This is not just a zipline, it’s an obstacle course. I went thru the two kid safe ones with Chloe and I have to admit I was challenged. She pushed me to keep going and I cheered her courage. After we were done, the kids offered to take pictures while Steve and I did an adult course together. I was pretty wiped out from the two hours with Chloe, but I was excited to tackle this with Steve. It was great to push him and him push me. We leaned on each other and cheered each other on! So much fun!
We didn’t get a chance to explore the rest of the park, as we were so wiped clean out! We do plan to go back…maybe in a few months when it’s a little cooler. Here are a few tips for those who decide to go:
- Take a water bottle, perhaps one that you can clip to your body. You will get thirsty and there is NO water 50 ft up!
- Chew gum or something else that can help you keep your mouth moist.
- Wear tennis shoes, work out clothes, and sunscreen.
And last, be prepared to be VERY sore for a few days afterwards!
