This is a sponsored post that I have written in partnership with Scholastic Parent & Child. All opinions are mine and are honest.
I love how kids can be so inquisitive. They always seem to ask questions that are inspired by the world around them. Mine are constantly soaking in information and are hungry for more. I was recently introduced to an App that is so fun for parents and kids! Scholastic Parent & Child has a new KidQ app for iPhone and Android that facilitates conversation via fun Q&A’s about the things that kids (and parents!) are the most curious about, like Why is the sky blue? And Why do we say “ears” of corn? Each day, users are notified of a new playful question that serves as a conversation starter along with the official answer.
We’ve been playing on it a few days and the questions have me stumped! I am just as excited to learn the answers as they are! We play it at stop lights or while we are waiting for our meals! It’s a great conversation starter!
You can download the free KidQ app from Scholastic Parent & Child for FREE!
Here are a few of the questions we got:
- Why do some things smell really good,…and some really bad?
- Why do yummy smells fill the house when food is cooking or baking?
- What ocean animal is related to the elephant: the manatee, the sea lion, or the whale?
Most of the questions are answered and then fun facts are also offered on the subject! This creates even more open doors for fun conversations. My oldest, Chloe, thinks she knows it all…and this has stumped her. I love that she is learning fun facts from a trusted source.
Go check it out! You’ll love it and since it’s free, your wallet will love it too!
