Have you tried the Kraft Fresh Take yet? I have used them a few times with chicken breasts, but never with hamburger beef. Well, that is until today. While shopping at Walmart, I noticed they have a Southwest Three Cheese flavor and I thought it sounded great for adding to some mini nacho bowls for my kids. You can read about my shopping trip and the different things I picked up for this recipe by reading my Google+ Story here.
This was such a quick and easy snack to make! Here is how I did it: Your shopping list includes the following: Kraft Fresh Take Southwest Three Cheese mix, Lean Hamburger Beef (although you can sub ground turkey if you want!), Chips and whatever else you would like to top your nachos with. I bought diced tomatoes, black olives, sour cream and guacamole.
First I browned the hamburger meat and drained the beef. I then added 1/2 cup of water and the seasoning side of the Kraft Fresh Take Southwest Three Cheese mix.
I mixed it well and turned off the heat. The Southwest seasoning has bread crumbs in it that will thicken the meat up rather quickly. (It will NOT be runny or made the chips soggy!) Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper (or foil) and then add the Scoops chips. Add the yummy seasoned hamburger meat, then top with the other half of the package, the yummy three cheese mix. Bake at 350 until cheese is melted.
I then topped it with the things that my kids would love such as sour cream, guacamole, black olives and diced tomatoes. This was such an Easy Dinner and I have made it twice in the last 4 days… by my families request!
I loved how easy this recipe was and how much flavor it added. The Kraft cheese was so rich and of course my kids loved yummy it is all melted on the chips. My hubby loved the spice as did I. I didn’t think it was so spicy that I needed to warn my kids before serving it, but I did break into a mild sweat eating it! (I love spicy food!)
