ET, an extra-terrestrial, is a timeless classic featuring the journey of an alien who is accidentally left behind on Earth and makes an unlikely friend, a little boy named Elliot and his brother and sister. In this movie, they help him try to “phone home” and they have to dodge government officials who are interested in ET for their own purposes. The kids work together to protect ET and get him home.

My hubby and I were very excited to share this classic with our girls. I thought they would be a little scared by parts of it, but they weren’t and I loved watching them show such emotion for ET. We used it as a teaching opportunity to talk about how we accept and become friends with those who don’t look and talk like us.
