I have put together a plan of action for my kiddos this summer! I am very excited about having a guide line for keeping my summer stress free! I think when we give our kids a PLAN for the day, they know what to expect and love it! I have decided that we need to make sure that the summer is NOT all about them! We have made our own Popsicles out of juice, smoothies, watermelon, and other fun stuff to enjoy once a day after outdoor play as well!
Now…for the community service part! I think my kids get plenty of fun (just for them) kinda things. We are going to bake and deliver to neighbors, we are going to walk our subdivision and make a game of picking up trash, we are planning to bless people working outside one day with cold water bottles, and we also plan to clean out and donate tons of toys to kids in need. We will be doing one of these things per week…two months in a row. I’m excited about teaching them to give back and think of others!

These are great summer fun ideas! I’d love to hear more ideas for service projects too. My kiddos and I get the summer blues sometimes in mid July when the temps reach 105 and we run out of things to do!
