I wish I could say that I have a massive garden out back where I grow everything myself, but that’s just not the case! We love to eat fruits and veggies in our house, but they can add up fast at the store. So how do I save on produce? Here are my tricks!
1.) I buy a basket every other week from Bountiful Baskets. This is a local fruit/veggie coop. It costs me $15 and I get HUGE amounts of both! I have been doing this for several month and it’s been great for my family.
2.) I shop at Aldi on the off weeks. I went this past week and bought 3 zucchinis and 2 squash, 2 1lbs of strawberry’s, 2 mangoes, and 1 3 pack of tomatoes on the vine. Guess what all of that cost me? $5.79! I am NOT kidding! The produce is crazy cheap! My grandma was with me and thought the price was per lb, but I kept telling her that it wasn’t! Sure enough, I was right!
I am starting a series of blog posts about how I save on every day items. Be watching for these as I think you will benefit greatly from reading them! I will try to do a few a week and link to them each time so you can catch up if I miss a few!
