I never really knew the difference between all wheel drive and two wheel, until I moved to St Louis. Depending on where you live, you will want to choose wisely. If you live in a dryer area that does not get much rain, snow, or ice, then two wheel drive will likely be all that you need. However, if you live in a colder, wetter area then you definitely need all wheel drive. Your ability to stay in control behind the wheel is vital for ones safety!
4WD (Four Wheel Drive) gives you the best traction so your vehicle can grip the road at all times. It feels safer and personally I think the vehicle is nicer all around. I have only owned one two wheel drive vehicle and I had to trade it in once winter came because I didn’t feel in control at all.
Front-wheel drive is typically used in family cars with better fuel economy and less performance. Most two wheel drive are front wheel.
Next time you are looking at cars at East Hills Chevrolet, make sure to ask if the vehicle that you are considering is 2WD, or 4WD!
