Oh man this has been a BUSY week! We have been on the run from the moment we get up to the time we go to bed! Softball games, adoption education classes, and work travels have kept us from cooking a meal at home. I can’t say that I am horribly sad about cooking part, but I do miss our daily family routine of sitting and enjoying a meal together!
Thankfully, Sam’s Club has ready to eat meals that I can pick up hot and ready which have saved me this week! For just $13.98, I get hot, freshly made pizza (16 in), cheesy breadsticks, cookies and a 2L of original Coca-Cola! Bam! So easy! This is a great price for a full meal for a family of 5!
I love the one stop shop! I can cross off some of my grocery list and leave with a fresh hot dinner ready to go!
Fun Mom Tip:
Since it’s October, I love to theme items for my girls! Follow these steps to become the “fun mom” that your kids will brag about at school!
1.) Open Pizza box, peel off all pepperonis
2.) Add back two triangles at the top (for eyes) If you have black olives, add those!
3.) Add a triangle in the middle for the nose.
4.) Add a line of pepperonis for the mouth. I tore a few so that the line wasn’t straight across. You can cut them with kitchen shears if that is easier.
5.) I had a ton of left over pepperonis that I left to the side for my kids to enjoy. If you want to add them back, you could circle them around the edge of the crust.
It’s easier to do this when it’s hot-hot or when it has fully cooled off. If you do it while the pizza is warm the cheese will stick to the pepperonis!) I bet Sam’s Club would do this for you before baking it! And you can definitely do this on their take and bake pizzas!
My kids love the HUGE fresh baked chocolate chip cookies that come with this Family combo meal!
I am so glad I found out about this awesome deal because we always have a Halloween party where we ask friends and family to come over and enjoy some eats before heading out together. This will make that party super simple! We love meals this this on nights when we have meetings or ball games as well. As a busy mom, I love that I can run an errand and pick up dinner (hot and ready) at the same place! If you are like us, then you might be out of town for a ball game and need a quick meal… this would be one that you can easily eat in the van!
Confession Session: We don’t let the kids drink soda yet, so this is a treat for just hubby and I! And I might or might not have ate a few of those hot cheesy bread sticks on the way home! You’ll see, they are hard to resist!
