Sealife treated my family to a preview of their #TurtleFest events. This post is more information about this event and all opinions are my own and are honest.

My girls enjoy sea life and any opportunity to see it! Not living by an ocean means we don’t get to see these things too often. Sealife Grapevine brings opportunities for my girls to experience a lot of the awesome sea life. They love seeing the Starfish, Eels, and the giant Turtles.
This week Sealife is celebrating the Sea Turtles with #TurtleFest. While you are there you can go through a turtle excluder and learn first-hand how this device helps a turtle escape when caught in a fisherman’s net. You can also take a “Turtle Shellfie” to post on social media – a selfie impersonating a turtle or with a turtle using the hashtag #turtleshellfiedfw for a chance to win an annual pass to SEA LIFE Aquarium Grapevine.
My girls loved seeing them feed Hope. We got to hear all about the techniques that they use to bring the Turtles up for a feeding. It was interesting to hear how they “train” these turtles and more amazing to watch the turtles respond. It’s great that there are places like Sealife that can rescue and rehabilitate these injured turtles.
Go check it out before school gets out and it gets super busy! Turtle Fest is only until the 30th.
Hours: Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. -attraction remains open 90 minutes after last admission.
