The pumpkins are out…in fact more than 90,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash are out! It’s beautiful! If you are looking for a fun place to take your family this fall, then you definitly want to head to the Dallas Arboretum!

I went with a friend last week and we were able to capture some awesome photos of our little ones!

(They have wagons for rent if you don’t want to push a stroller!)

Here are 7 Mom Tips if you want to capture some cute photos of your little on in the pumpkins!

1.) Take your nicer camera. We snapped a few on our iPhones but they aren’t near as nice as the ones on our Cannons.
2.) Plan to sweat… a lot. Take water!
3.) Take a blanket to put on the ground for outfit changes. It was a warm day, so we dressed our boys for summer and changed them for the photos.
4.) Snacks are a must. Small kiddos don’t enjoy non stop photo shoots… so taking breaks and allowing them to have snacks/drinks is always a good idea.
5.) Be patient. We took a ton of photos…and it only takes that one perfect one for you to fall in love and feel accomplished. (We have a ton of funny out takes!)
6.) Were clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. I wore flip flops. My feet were covered and black. Part of the pumpkin area is covered in hay, the other half is a dark black mulch. My pants were a mess from kneeling as well.
7.) Enjoy the Children’s Adventure Garden while you are there! (More info about that below!)
