I have talked about PediaQ, powered by Q.Care, a few times and have more exciting news to pass on! They now have a mobile application technology platform for After Hours Pediatric Nurse Consults and House Calls called Q.care! This new on-demand mobile application platform is used to immediately connect a parent on nights and weekends to a Pediatric Specialist for a FREE nurse Consult House Call. With just a touch of a button, their experienced Pediatric Specialists will be at your home to treat, diagnose, and prescribe medication if needed. Your child will receive a complete history and physical as well as any diagnostic test needed without ever leaving the comfort of your couch. Q.care treats a wide variety of childhood common conditions from age birth to 18 years old, including in-home strep and flu tests. Learn more at www.Q.care or on Facebook.
Q.care will be available in North Austin weekends 8am-8pm starting September 3, 2016. Q.care will begin serving Round Rock, Cedar Park, and Leander neighborhoods.
If this is your first time hearting about Q.care house calls, you will love the fact that they are very affordable since the company accepts most insurances, so you just pay your standard copay plus a $25 convenience fee. Without Insurance the standard visit is $150, still less than what you would pay to have a child seen at an ER or urgent care facility, while being able to receive care in the comfort and safety of home.

The innovative service has been an instant hit with parents across North Texas as PediaQ has successfully demonstrated how to meet their needs with over 3,000 house calls since it’s launch last fall. Two of these were mine! One of the calls they did a breathing treatment on my daughter because she was so tight! They provided such great care! They were at my house for about an hour with her because they wanted to make sure she was okay and breathing fine before they left! Their level of care and follow up was such a blessing when I needed it most. (For some reason, my kids tend to tank late at night or on the weekends when my Pedi’s office isn’t open!)
