We were invited to check out the new Jade Waters resort for the purpose of this review. All opinions and photos are my own!
We have been big fans of the Hilton Anatole for a few years now! The family fun events that they host during the holidays have been something that we look forward to each winter. Now the Hilton Anatole has something fun to enjoy in the summer as well! (They had the pool last year, and did movies…and we liked that too!)
Jade Waters resort pool opened last week and it’s full of opportunity for family fun! After checking into the Anatole, we went for a night swim. The weather was perfect! We enjoyed playing some games on the lawn before heading into Jade Waters! I love that there are (non electronic) games that are available for families to enjoy! Corn Hole games and Connect Four! (I need one of those giant connect 4 games!)
The first thing my girls wanted to do was check out the lazy river! This lazy river is unlike any other that we have enjoyed! It has an awesome current keeping it flowing at a great pace! You move leisurely around the river with no added effort of your own. The scenery is beautiful and the lazy river takes a while to complete a full round. There are a few spots along the river where you can pull off and enjoy hanging out. There are also a few areas that you can opt to get sprayed/splashed!
There are two awesome slides for adults and big kids! One is open concept where you can see out as you slide down, the other in enclosed and is dark. My 7 yr old loved them both and wasn’t scared to go down either of them.
There are a few spots that are great for younger kiddos. They can climb, splash, and play on the kid slides, as well as this other area with fountains and shallow water.
There are eight Cabanas that you can rent for the day. They are very nice and have big screen TV’s in them. Cabanas include 4 reserved chaise lounges, table and chairs, 55” TV, mini fridge, 8 bottles of water, locking drawer, ceiling fan, 8 towels and tropical fruit platter. Reserved daily from 9a – 9p with service from 10a – 6p! They are not buy the slides or little kid area, they are over by the swim up bar and hot tub!
While we were at the pool, we enjoyed lunch via server who took our order and served us right at our seats pool side. She was great and quick, too! We noticed that there were tons of employees! We saw lots of life guards, wait staff, and other various employees.
Towels were provided as we entered, and we dropped them in a basket as we left. The food was great. It wasn’t just burgers and fries, either. They offered a full menu, complete with appetizers, main course, and even desserts. And what is better then a Kona Ice while enjoying a hot Texas day? My girls were so excited about that extra detail!
While at the pool, my girls participated in a dance contest and won! They got some beach balls and other fun items.
They also got to attend a little puppet show by Geppetto’s Puppet Theater, pool side! So much fun!
There is a gift shop right as you enter Jade Waters Resort incase you should need anything like sun block, goggles, swim suits, flip flops, sun glasses, water toys, etc. We took a floaty for our baby boy, but they provide tubes for the lazy river.
Jade Waters is the perfect addition to an already great hotel! Go, enjoy and make memories!
