It has been a dream of mine to take a family vacation…not just me, hubby and kids…but extended family too. This dream came true last week as my family set sail on the Carnival Breeze for 7 days!
We planned for over a year for that week! We bought fun matching shirts, made lanyards, and saved for all of the memories that we would be making!
This was my Grandma and Grandpa’s first time to cruise! My 5th, my hubby and kids 3rd time. It was so much fun!
The Carnival Breeze was much like the Carnival Magic that we were on last summer. The layout was very similar and the food was almost exactly the same.
Making memories is a BIG thing in my house! I love family and I love making memories!
Here are a few food photos that I took to show you the awesome variety! I had steak almost daily, hubby had seafood, kids had pizza and burgers! Something for EVERYONE!
There was so much to do on board! The kids loved the pool, water slides, ropes course, and putt putt! They even enjoyed going into Camp Ocean (the only play they could play MineCraft!)
Towards the end of the cruise, we opted to do the Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast! It was so much fun! The decor was perfect, the breakfast was a kids dream, and they loved the photo ops with Sam I am, Thing 1 and Thing 2, and of course Dr. Seuss! (This was $5 per person, but totally worth the memories we made!)
The last day at Sea, Carnival hosts an opportunity for those on board to pay it forward and Groove for St. Jude. For a $10 donation (which all goes to St. Jude) you get a t-shirt, bracelet, and a lot of fun Grooving on the Lido deck with others! We have done this every cruise we have been on. I love that they do this!
The only down side to this cruise was not bringing the baby. The adoption wasn’t finalized when we bought our tickets and without his birth certificate Carnival wouldn’t let him sail. I missed him like crazy, but he was being royal spoiled by his Aunt Krisa and Uncle Mike for the week. I had the unlimited wifi package and stayed in contact via text message. She sent photos and we were even able to video chat a few times via Google Hangouts!
