We officially finalized our adoption this month and were very excited to celebrate having that all behind us. I searched and searched for themes and came up with only ONE! How crazy is that? So I decided that we would make up our own! We went with the baseball theme!
Thanks to Red Thread Photography, we took the family photo you see above. The theme is “Team Solstad!” Nathan, our adopted son, is “Rookie of the Year” since he is the newest addition to Team Solstad!
We had so much fun planning this party. Most of our supplies came from Oriental Trading! We found baseball themed rubber duckys, popcorn bags, hotdog boats, finger fan #1 fun, plates, and monogrammed napkins! They have so many great things to choose from. I knew they would have what I wanted/needed for this party as they are my #1 go to place for all party supplies…and themed party supplies is one of their best sellers!
Thankfully we chose red, white and blue for our colors because 4th of july things made it easy to find extra decor. We ordered small baseball hats online for the ice cream, and of course had nachos, popcorn, cracker jacks and peanuts to go along with our hot dogs.
My friend Megan of Black Flour, made the most awesome baseball cake pops! The party turned out just as I had hoped! It was so perfect!
We had tons of friends and family come to celebrate Team Solstad with us! We also had a large canvas with “Team Solstad” on it that we had everyone sign as they came in. It will hang on our wall as a reminder of all of the people who prayed for us before, during, and now as we move forward (finalized) as Nathan’s parents! Such a blessing to be able to see it daily and remind ourselves that we are surrounded by so many who love and care for us!
